Go Go Bolshoi Harlem Queen - aka Ziva
In the U.S.A. Go Go Bolshoi Harlem Queen, aka Ziva has completed all background, medical, training and observations required by the Alliance of Therapy Dogs on February 13, 2019 and on March 22, 2019 was designated as a Pet Therapy Dog. The Alliance of Therapy Dogs was formed in 1990 and has trained, observed and registered over 15,000 Pet Therapy Teams since then. Therapy dog teams provide smiles to the young and old and excel at providing relaxation in stressful environments. Ziva is also a Canine Ambassador for the American Kennel Club. She is very beautiful, confident and calm and willing to meet anyone to share snuggles, belly rubs or just lean on people and be petted. She is also very fond of children and will always lay and roll over for belly rubs.
Ziva participated in 54 recognized events in 2019 in the U.S. including patient and staff visitations at the Reno Veterans’ Hospital, Paws 4 Passengers at the Reno Tahoe International Airport (Goodwill Ambassadors) and “Take Five To Stay Paw-sitive” at the University of Nevada campus.
Veterans’ Hospital:
Veterans’ Hospital: While at the Reno Veterans’ Hospital Ziva meets with patients and staff and her job is to make people smile, relieve stress and provide comfort. Her visits are around 1 ½ hours meeting patients in emergency wards and the mental health unit. She is welcome in all administrative offices and her visits are greatly appreciated.
Paws for Passengers:
Ziva visits the Reno Tahoe International Airport at least 3 times a month for 2 hours each time and is teamed with 2 to 3 other therapy dog teams. Most of her time there is devoted to passengers. “Paws 4 Passengers” is not for profit volunteer group that acts as Goodwill Ambassadors for the airport. Take Five To Stay PAW-SITIVE
at The University of Nevada – Reno:
Ziva is there two days a month for about 2 hours, teamed with 10 more other pet therapy teams located in the student union building during lunch time. Hundreds of students attend, many of them from out of state with dogs at home, happy to have some canine companionship
